Beskrivning

This is not a book about becoming a different kind of leader. It is a book about no longer straining to be what you already are.

Most leadership books promise a new system: seven habits, five levels, three pillars. This book does the opposite. It starts from the assumption that you already have what it takes – the competence, the judgement, the will to do right – but that the way there has been covered over. By demands. By expectations. By years of solving things faster than you had time to understand them.

In twelve steps – from seeing what you can actually influence to the mark you will one day leave behind – you meet leaders you will recognise: the coach who stopped watching the opposition, the chairwoman who stopped promising, the brothers at the loading bay.

The order matters. Each step builds on the one before – just as real leadership does.
